This 51 bed unit consists of pre and post surgical patients who have had orthopedic, general and bariatric surgery. This unit is the only unit with a dedicated Admitting Nurse. There is also a unit-based Pharmacist and Clinical Nurse Educator. Other ancillary personnel include Respiratory Therapists, Case Managers, Social Workers and Chaplains.

The Restorative Therapy Department (PT/OT/ST) is located on the East wing along with a Therapy Gym. The unit is designed in a "T" shape with a centralized nursing station and nursing substations strategically placed on each wing of the unit.

The staff on this unit exhibit excellent teamwork and a strong focus on patient safety and employee satisfaction. The patient ratio is 6:1. This unit provides a nurturing atmosphere for its staff and is therefore an excellent unit for new graduates.

Responsibilities: Plan, direct, and collaborate with other disciplines to provide optimal care.

Education: Minimum Diploma program, Preferred BSN

Certification/Liceneses: Current Arizona RN license; CPR certification

Experience: Experience in Med/Surg or Orthopedics preferred, new graduates will be considered.
