Director of Nursing/Emergency Dept

Responsible for managing a 38-bed emergency department, the Director of Nursing will be relied on to develop/implement strategies of clinical care for the Emergency Department. May also be accountable for non-clinical functions related to the clinical area(s). In this lead role, the successful candidate will shape/interpret the standards required to ensure quality outcomes and a high degree of patient, physician and employee satisfaction.

We are in search of a candidate possessing a current RN license, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field, considerable experience with emergency departments/patients, and 2+ years of previous management experience. A Master's degree in nursing or Business is strongly preferred and or a completed masters / masters in progress preferred. Must be able to respond to the needs of multiple constituencies, in addition to being skilled in problem analysis, project management, contract negotiation, conflict resolution and verbal/written presentations.
