Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager or designate. For the majority of the time supervises designated lead hands, plumbers, fitters, trade-related journeymen, apprentices, labourers, and other designated staff and performs related administrative duties. Liaises with user departments, contractors, and other maintenance sections to ensure construction and maintenance projects are completed according to plan and budget. Performs skilled journeyman plumbing and pipefitting work in the installation, construction, alteration, maintenance, and repairs of structural elements, fittings, and furniture

Full Time, Hours Bi-Weekly 75.0 hours, Department Plant Services
Victoria, 7.5 hour day shifts, 0800-1600 hours, Monday to Friday with weekends and statutory holidays off, Classification MA37 City, $30.46 hourly - As per the Facilities Subsector

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
Grade 12 plus five years’ recent related experience including two years in a supervisory position or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Plumber or Fitter, and Sprinkler recognized by the Province of B.C. Class B level Gas fitter’s licence recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
Certificate of Competency as a Cross Connection Control Specialist issued by the American Water Works Association, British Columbia Section.
Valid Class 5 vehicle license.
