Full Time Hours Bi-Weekly 72.0 hours at Various sites within the community - Aea Prevention Services, General Population Pediatrics (0 to 5 years) - Shift/Hours of Work 7.5 And 7.0 Hour Day Shifts; Weekends and Stat Holidays Off. Classification L11 City
$28.54 - $35.59 hourly As per the Health Science Professionals

Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Speech Language Pathologist and under the general direction of the Senior Speech-Language Pathologist, Prevention Services, responsible for providing comprehensive clinical speech services, coordination and development of selected Program components and promoting in the community awareness and maximal use/preservation of speech abilities
Qualifications Education, Training and Experience
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, or equivalent from a recognized university.
Current membership in provincial BC Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (BCASLPA) and/or national Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) Associations*.
Current knowledge base in all areas of speech-language pathology encompassed in the Prevention Services Speech Clinics.
Valid B.C. Driver's Licence/car required. Public speaking skills required. Hanen certification - level one - "It Takes Two to Talk" desirable.
*This requirement is waived for staff hired prior to the 1992 Job Description revision

Ability to use judgement in dealing with sensitive client and Program issues.
Ability to function effectively as a team member.
Ability to Initiate self evaluation of work standards and professional issues.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate time management skills, and prioritize workload.
Ability to operate a personal computer is an asset.
Ability to conduct adult education groups on preschool speech and language topics.
